It's pretty windy today with winds gusting to 100+ km per hour. Thankfully it's also warm so there is lots of snow melting going on. I've been busy crocheting small beanie caps to put into this years's Operation Christmas Child boxes. It is 7:30 am and the temperature is -32 C but with the windchill it feels like -44C! Not as cold as Winnipeg a few days ago when temps with the windchill felt like -55 C!!!! I definitely won't be taking Maggie for a walk today, I just hope my Jeep starts. I am have to get gas today and am dreading that. Stay warm people.

So, after a disappointing weigh in last week when I was up 1.5 lbs I decided to re-dedicate myself. This week I was down 4.6 lbs for a total of 16.4 since the 16th of February. 1. I'm thankful it's Friday. Maybe we can sleep in a bit tomorrow.

2. I'm thankful for flannel sheets. Nice and cozy on a chilly night.

I've seen geese flying overhead a few times and I hear them pretty much every evening lately. They must be fattening up for their trip south. Autumn can't be far off. I'm ready for some cooler temperatures but I'm not looking forward to fall as much as usual. Last week I had my annual check-up and my doctor ordered a pelvic ultra sound because I had some tenderness on my right side. I wasn't concerned and said it may have been just a gas bubble. Anyway I went for the ultra sound which was done both externally and internally. It wasn't very pleasant and left me with a dull cramping feeling for 2 or 3 ( Read more... )
